	Highland Games and Strength Events 1st Wout Zilstra (Holland) 2nd Gregor Edmunds (Scotland) 3rd Matt Sandford (Australia) New Games Records were established in the following events: Putting the Stone - Gregor Edmunds - 52ft 9.5 inches 28lb Weight for Distance - Wout Zilstra - 84ft 2 inches Throwing the Hammer - Matt Sandford - 139ft 4 inches In the Log Lift Vasyl Virastyuk from the Ukraine successfully lifted 160kg which was 5kg short of the then world record for this event and 15kg better than his closest rival.
